How much does it cost to hire you?

Nothing upfront. If we win, SSA deducts our fee from your past-due benefits — 25% capped at $5,300 under current federal rules. If we do not win, you owe no attorney fee.

How long does the process take?

An initial decision takes three to five months. If denied and appealed to a hearing, expect another 12–18 months for a hearing date in the Denver area. Total time from application to approval is often two to three years.

Can I work while applying?

Earning above substantial gainful activity ($1,090/month gross in 2015) will usually disqualify you. Below that threshold, part-time work may still be possible depending on your condition. Talk to us before taking a new job.

My claim was denied. Is that the end?

No. Most claims are denied at the initial level. The hearing stage is where many approvals happen, especially with complete medical records and hearing preparation.

Do I need to come to your office?

Not for every step. Consultations, record updates, and most correspondence happen by phone and mail. You will need to attend your ALJ hearing in person unless the judge grants a video appearance.

What conditions qualify?

Any severe impairment that prevents substantial work for 12+ months — physical injuries, chronic illness, mental health conditions, and combinations of limitations. The question is whether your records support the claim, not just the diagnosis name.
